Sewing Club

Sylvia Madden is the founder of the sewing club. Along with Ms.Yoon, they create fun projects for the members to participate in. Their club is very community driven even though the amount of people who come is small, only about 5 people usually come. The reason Sylvia made this club is to make sewing more accessible to people.

Elijah Winney-Bowen is one of the founders of Rubik’s cube club. He and Mr Donofry teach people how to solve a Rubik’s cube. There are 7 or 8 people in the club and it meets on day 3. While there aren’t many of them, the community is still strong. Elijah made the club because you can’t Rubik’s cubes in class so if you join you can finally use them.

Eco Club

Lily McGowen is a member of Eco Club. On day 4, she enjoys collaborating with the people in the Eco club community to think of ideas. Lily joined Eco club because her advisor, and the only teacher she knew, Ms. Knutson, founded the club. This year the club is very large, with 30-40 members. Eco club sometimes goes to the lower school to teach about composting. One upcoming event in this club is a trip to the Crawford gallery. Lily would like someone who could come up with ideas for sustainable cars to visit their club.

Student Council

Tori Owens is the student council president and a member of the student council lunch club. Tori’s favorite thing about her lunch club is being able to listen to what people want to happen and be able to make it happen. In student council Tori tries her best to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying the aspects of this year. Tori is one of the presidents of the student council, and is therefore the spokesperson, and she makes announcements with her fellow student council president. Around 15 people are members of the club, and they meet on day 1.

Newspaper Club

Campbell Goodwin is one of the members of the Newspaper club. He is one of the publishers and writers of his article along with Austin Aria, and Lucas Franzen. In his interview Campbell said he expresses his “thoughts, feelings, and emotions” in his articles. If anyone could visit their club he would want it to be David Muir, an American journalist.

MS Chamber Ensemble

Delia Torday is a member of the Ms Chamber Ensemble (5/6), and enjoys that they can play harder music than in strings class. She loves playing the cello and playing in concerts. Delia wishes they would add chocolate challenges just like in regular strings. There are about fifteen people in her club and it meets on day two.

MS Chamber Ensemble

Avery Kizner is a member of the 7/8 chamber ensemble, and she plays the violin. Her favorite part of her club is how fun it is to play her instrument, and how everyone is really kind. In the 7/8 chamber ensemble, the members eat lunch, hang out, and when recess starts, they start playing music, and they perform in concerts. There are about 10 members in the 7/8 chamber ensemble, and they meet every day 2.

Battle of the Books

Ms Bloy has chosen a new lunch club instead of library counsel. It’s now battle of the books! She had done library counsel for a lot of years and it had begun to fizzle out. There are about 20 people in battle of the books but she still wants more! This club meets on day 7. She made this club so people who only read one genre could branch out.
