On almost every Tuesday or Thursday you can walk into the cafeteria and find, by the vending machines, a group of almost 20 kids looking down at their phones, focused solely on the game they’re playing, and then arguing over who is the impostor. Although it seems kids these days are on their phones too much, this group of juniors is mixing in-person interaction with one of their favorite online games. When you walk by you can hear all sorts of accusations from one best friends to another, or two kids discussing how they can have a better strategy the next time. From the outside, it’s clear these kids are fun-seeking, old-fashioned, and good-natured gamers. A lot of kids at SCH seem to be addicted to their phones, but these kids are shining a positive light on screen use at SCH.
