Cars, factories, agricultural practices, burning of fossil fuels, and more. What do all of those things have in common? They emit massive amounts of carbon emissions into the atmosphere every day. It deteriorates the environment slowly, but steadily.
What is happening to the environment is not good. That is why I think that there should be a global tax on carbon emissions.
The first reason there should be a tax on carbon emissions is because it would discourage the use of fossil fuels being burned. This will lower the use of fossil fuels and increase the use of cleaner and safer energy sources.
The second reason is because if countries send their tax to environment programs, it will even further help the environment. This money could be used to build renewable energy sources such as solar panel plants and windmills.
The third reason is that the money collected from the tax could be used to make plants like the Orca Plant in Iceland. The Orca plant turns carbon into rock. The plant takes carbon from the air and heats it up. Then it mixes the carbon with water and shoots it into the ground. Finally, when the carbon mixes with the minerals, it turns solid.
In conclusion, I believe that there should be a tax on carbon emissions so that countries will turn to more renewable sources of energy.
