Water fountains are the unsung heroes of our school, providing a refreshing break in the middle of our hectic schedules. For years, SCH has prided itself on the variety of water fountains available to students, each offering something unique in terms of feel, utility, and location. Last year, we ranked them, and to say the least… The results turned heads. Many people felt shocked, even offended by last year’s rankings, but in the unpredictable world of water fountains some things change. Currently, word is going around school, and it’s hard to ignore… Rumor has it that the once untouchable Norcini Water Fountain has fallen off hard.

Fear not. This year’s expert rankings are here, and the message is clear. Norcini’s Fountain lost its crown. Once a perennial favorite, Norcini’s Fountain is no longer the shining star it once was. According to me, the expert, last year’s top fountain slid all the way to fourth.  How did this happen? And more importantly, what is the top fountain?

2025 Water Fountain Rankings

  1. Library
  2. Kingsley
  3. Nurse’s office
  4. Norcini
  5. Outside SRC
  6. Junior Commons
  7. College admissions
  8. Senior commons
  9. Haber room

The experts have spoken, and the rankings are crystal clear. The Library Fountain has taken the top spot, followed by Kingsley Fountain and the Nurses Office Fountain. The break shocker, however, is Norcini’s drop from the number one spot to fourth, a dramatic fall that no one could have predicted.

“I used to swear by the Norcini water fountain. It was the place to go when you were feeling parched and needed a quick recharge,” said sophomore Jack Balsamo. “But now? The water doesn’t taste the same. It’s like it’s lost its magic.” Another student, Braeden McAneny voiced his disappointment. “Honestly, I’m shocked. Norcini used to be the top dog, but now the pressure just isn’t there. It’s like it forgot how to deliver that perfect powerful stream that made it great in the first place.”

What’s driving Norcini’s fall? It seems that the Library Fountain, once a quiet underdog, has emerged as the new champion. It’s clear that the students are flocking there for its crisp, refreshing water, and its proximity to study spaces are a part of its rise to the top. “The water is clean, the flow is steady, and it’s never crowded” said Braydon Trunfio (water fountain expert) “It’s like a hidden gem that everyone has discovered.”

In a year that’s been full of surprises, one thing is for sure: The water fountain rankings have shifted in a way that no one could have predicted. What once was a fountain of glory now has been relegated to fourth place, with students turning their attention to new, more reliable sources of hydration. The fall of Norcini marks the end of an era, but it also marks the start of a new chapter in our school’s water fountain legacy.
