The anticipation is finally over. Starry Night is set to be the Homecoming Dance theme. Mark your calendar and prepare for your attire—- Homecoming Dance 2024 will be on Saturday, October 19th, just two weeks from now.  This year, the attire will remain semi-formal, but attendees are recommended to wear a bright or starry element to match the celestial theme. The aim is to light up the dance floor with creativity. 

In addition to the theme, the Student Council has already started working on the logistics of the dance. Starry decorations and fairy lights are incorporated into the setup. Expect to see a dreamy night sky in the dance. If you want to include your favorite songs in the dance playlist, you can enter your songs through the link at the end of this article. Ticket sale will start on next Monday, October 7. Cash sales will be held during lunch and activities in the next two weeks, and there will also be an online portal available for easy ticket purchases. 

Reflecting on the last Homecoming theme, Senior Representative Brendan Flatow shared his excitement about this year’s tranquil vibe, stating,  “Last year we did the red carpet theme which I like, and I think this year the lights will make it a calm theme while still being cool.” Junior Representative Roman Bostick likes the simplicity of the theme and is thrilled to see the creativity of students. “It’s pretty solid like an 8.5 out of 10 because it is simple and everyone can get creative,” he said. 

As the countdown to the dance begins, students are encouraged to participate and shine bright under the stars at Homecoming Dance. Stay tuned for more updates next week and prepare for this dreamy evening!
