On Friday April 24, Blue and Gold Day begins. When everyone arrives at school they start putting tattoos on and face paint, getting necklaces and makeup.

When everyone is ready to go to the field they start cheering as loud as they can, screaming and having fun. One side is yelling Gold! The other side is yelling Blue! When they get to the field, the races start. The pre-k starts all the races off everyone is cheering for them running as fast as they can. Every grade gets to have a different race and has fun with every single one. The very last race is the high schoolers tug of war. During this, people are screaming, yelling, and jumping up and down. Everyone loves to get a lemon stick after they have their race. People are pushing and cutting the line to get one.The lemon stick is a half a lemon with a sweet candy straw in the middle.The best part is we don’t have to do the rest of the school day.In the end, it doesn’t matter who wins it just matters that you had fun!
