“My sophomore year when I was sitting in my basement, I had this moment, you know, I sort of wasn’t dialed in to really anything I was doing in my life. I was going about my day as I normally would. And I think I sort of realized that my life was beginning to just repeat itself. Every day was the same. Every goal I had, I didn’t really have any goals, because I was too busy focused on just letting the time pass by. And then I sort of realized, when people started to talk about college, I was like, wow, I think I really need to start focusing on my studies. And I think it was a moment after I did really bad on a test because I just didn’t study at all that I realized that, wow, I really need to take my life seriously and take everything I do seriously. So from that moment on, I started to just get after it, go after everything, I wanted to take risks. I started my own clubs. I ran for presidential positions in school. I started taking everything about myself more seriously, and honestly, that just led to me finding happiness and productivity. Everything I do that makes me feel like I am contributing to society, contributing to myself, my own personality and others lives, and making it better makes me feel better about myself. So yeah, that was the moment of coming to the realization of what I need to do to be better and live the life I want to live.”
