In Middle School, a select few students are participating in the Model United Nations program.
In the Model United Nations, we practice being real-world delegates of countries to support and explain our ideas. This helps us explain, debate, and come up with solutions to things not only now but later in life. My personal experiences with the other delegates have been nothing but calm, informative, and respectful.
We are having a conference with other delegates from different schools on March 2 at Temple University, where we will discuss solutions with other countries to solve problems of our own. Like, for example, a classmate and I have the mission of the Sustainable Development Goal of ending hunger for all of the second committee, and the country we are representing is Portugal. In the conference, delegates from different schools will participate in a small-group resolution writing workshop, practice parliamentary procedure, participate in an activity about their assigned topic, and have an opportunity to share their country. We wish the delegates an entertaining and educational journey to Temple University.
