“We read books chosen by a sort of democratic process where everybody picks books and then, I guess, I don’t know the heads or the student leaders, or seniors, or I decide which books to read. I feel like we also do fun activities, like we wrote these stories where everybody added a sentence, and at the end it was this really funny story. We’re planning on going to the multicultural fair. We’re going to have a table there with a bunch of books, just showing what the library has to offer. We’re going to bring some books for the elementary-aged kids and the Middle School kids, and also high school-aged kids, and just put them on display. What else do we do? We sit around, chat, and talk about the books we’re reading. Recently we discussed the Telegraph Club. In the past, we’ve read some ancient Japanese folk tales, which were really interesting. And sometimes we read short stories or poems if we don’t feel like reading a whole long novel, but it’s a nice group.” — Dan Pevear
