Cam Burns reviews Raising Cane’s

7/10

Raising Cane’s move to University City in Philadelphia caused a lot of commotion. Many people were lining up outside to try it. With so many opinions going around, good and bad, I decided to write a review. I went to Raising Cane’s and ordered, “THE BOX COMBO” which comes with four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, new cane’s sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a regular fountain drink.

5/10 Chicken Fingers and 8/10 Canes Sauce – The chicken finger itself was hot and crispy, but it lacked flavor. The finger wasn’t flavorful; it was bland, dry, and tasted like regular plain old chicken. Next I tried the chicken with Cane’s sauce. The sauce made the chicken a lot better. It was very flavorful. It was one of those situations where sometimes the food needs the sauce or a condiment that goes with it, such as pancakes and syrup.

7.5/10 Crinkle-Cut Fries – Just like the chicken fingers, they were hot and crispy. They fries were pretty good, not bad at all. They were flavorful and overall had a good taste. When I tried the fries with the sauce,he sauce again added great flavor, but the fries didn’t need it.

4/10 Coleslaw – Out of all the opinions and reviews I heard this was talked about the least, and for good reason. There’s nothing really special about it. It’s just plain coleslaw, so I would suggest adding a different side to the meal.

9/10 Texas Toast – I decided to do Texas toast last because this is what I heard about the most. Is it worth the hype? YES. The bread was amazing:very flavorful with a bit of crispness to it. It was great. Definitely worth trying.

Overall not terrible food, it was just ok. I don’t think it’s worth hype unless the only thing people and other critics were talking about was the bread.
